REGION ONE CONFERENCE 2009 WORKSHOPS
Workshop #4 – Thursday afternoon, 2:00 to 5:00
“A Fashionable Memory of Japan”
Instructor: Patti Ulrich
Starting with an authentic Japanese woodblock design printed on silk taffeta, we will use a Bleuette La Semaine de Suzette inspired pattern, but improved, historically correct construction to make a kimono that captures a fashionable memory of Japan for Bleuette, Bitty Bethany, Leeann, Shirley Temple or any other fashion conscious 10” to 12” doll. Bring scissors. Cost: $50.00

Workshop #5 – 2 sessions. Friday morning, 9:00 to noon, Saturday afternoon, 2:00 to 5:00
“Ensemble for 5” all bisque mignonette”
Instructor: Cindy Everhart
The dress, coat and hat will perfectly fit the Nancy Hall doll attendees received at the Thursday “Put A Dolly In Your Pocket” luncheon. Students will complete an embellished period dress in the first session and will complete the coat and decorate the hat in the second session. Bring sewing tools and doll from luncheon or similar doll. Cost: $65.00 includes both sessions.
Workshop #6 – Friday morning 9:00 to noon
“Sweet Bonnie Babe”
Instructor: Nancy Hall
Students will receive a 4 ½” jointed porcelain doll with glass eyes and mohair wig and her toys. You will complete her silk blankie and voile clothes trimmed with silk ribbon and cotton lace. Bring your sewing tools and tweezers, if you have them. Cost: $80
